Using a graphics tablet and animating facial expressions
This lesson aimed to learn how to use a graphics tablet and to feel confident using the graphics tablet to animate facial expressions.
What I've learned about animation is about frames; if you use 15/20 frames, it can make the animation move for a second or two. The name of the app that I've used to make my animation is called Adobe Animate, which is also a vector program.
When I look at the final outcome, it wasn't what I expected it to be. I was expecting more to draw on a graphical tablet, but not looking at the monitor simultaneously; it could be clearer to use. Plus, it was my first time using a real graphical tablet and Adobe Animate.
I did animate before on Flip Clip, but I used my finger to draw some animations. At least I had fun using Adobe Animate and experimenting with it.
When I look at future animation work, the main thing I want to try more of is to learn how to make impact frames, more realistic movements of action, more facial expressions, and also more graphical landscapes, backgrounds, the damage impact, and physics.

Extreme closeup: To emphasize a specific feature of a character's face.
Big closeup: A shot you use displaying a character's expression on their face takes up the whole frame.
Close-up: For when you want to reveal a subject's emotions and reactions.
Medium close-up: Frame your subject from roughly the chest up. So typically favours the face.
Mid shot: Showing half the subject, typically the upper body but sometimes this is used to focus half of the legs.
Medium long shot: Most of your subjects are in view, but they are cut-off legs.
Long shot: Your subject is in full view and can be quite distant from the camera.
Over-shoulder shot: Usually used when two characters are talking, the camera is looking over one.
Point of view: Used to put you in the eyes of a person sometimes used in horror stories to show you the killer/monster perspective.
Dutch tilt: When the camera is tilted slightly to the side.
High-angle: When the camera looks down at the subject from above.
Low-angle: When the camera is low but looking up at the character/actor.
Warm's eye view: When a description of the view of a scene below that a worm might have if it could see.
I do like all of the shots because they are all interesting. However, the shots I find most interesting are the extreme close-up, the point of view, and the medium-long shot. Those shots are interesting to me because they make the scene really aesthetic, and more interesting and it looks
Learning Colouring techniques and tools in Adobe
The aim of the lesson was
1) To be able to compose environmental images using colouring techniques in Adobe Animate.
2) To understand how more advanced tools work, including shape tools, layers, colour pickers, gradients, and filters.
Creating Environments
This is my gif that I made and learned from colouring techniques and tools using Adobe Animate. I watched the tutorial video and followed each step, I coloured the background with two colours so i can make one that's yellow and orange that is blending in to yellow so I can make a colour-like sunset.
Next, I used the shape circle to make a sun and chose paled yellow to make the sun. Then, after that I drew clouds then bucket the clouds grey to fill them. After, I used drop shadow and co-ordinated to the opposite direction from the sun. After completing that, I chose the shape square and coloured it dark grey to make a giant lump at the back, then I used it again to make an illusion of buildings. So I made then different sizes. Finally, for the cherry on top I drew a person and animated their hair swaying to make it like the weather is tranquil.
I've enjoyed doing this very much because my dream is to create animated stories, mostly anime's but like my own anime story. I have been imagining anime stories in my head since I was 11 years old and younger so this experience helped me out alot and I am hoping to do more of animation and graphic design in the future.
